Strategic Marketing is often about getting the 4P's of the Marketing Mix right (Product, Place, Price and Promotion). However, to balance it all up, we like to bring in the perspective of the consumers and have therefore added the 4 C's to the mix (Commodity, Channel, Cost and Communication).

Every day companies spend huge amounts of money on marketing and advertising. But only a fraction of these investments can be directly linked to actual sales. There are simply too many different factors affecting customer choice simultaneously, making it practically impossible to isolate an individual marketing initiative.
By definition this also makes it very difficult to measure return on investment (ROI). We're sure that a much higher ROI can be achieved if companies studied the consumer decision making process and learned more about the decisive factors triggering purchases and brand loyalty.
